ISO / TS 16949

International Automotive Task Force (IATF) and Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Inc. (JAMA) with support of technical commission ISO/TC have prepared the document for purpose of eradication repeated certification audits in car industry (these has been till issuance of ISO/TS 16949 conducted according to specific standards of individual automotive associations, for example: QS 9000, VDA, and so on).

It provides joint access to the quality management system in the car and spare parts production companies. It includes all requirements of ISO 9001 standard and adds various additional, very demanding requirements, mostly from the scope of risk analyze, management of measuring systems and regulation of processes.

Certification according to standard ISO/TS 16949 used to be necessary condition of entrance in to the car industry.
